چکیده

Many research efforts in the area of autonomous and intelligent agents have focused on intra-agent aspects, such as agent languages and architectures, which focus on the agent’s internal structure. Instead, multi-agent systems should not be simply considered as a multitude of individuals. If a society of agent exists, a collective social behaviour is likely to emerge. Therefore, to fully understand multi-agent systems, theories for agent societies are needed. These theories should define what is the world that hosts the society, which laws rule the world, and which are the individuals that can /

Ethical Theory and Educational Effectiveness

The missing link in the theories of normative ethics is the study of the extent of their real impact on the moral education of individuals and societies. Existing moral theories can be divided into act-driven theories, agent-driven theories, and combined and bifocal theories. Each of these theories has shortcomings in relation to the issue of moral education, some of which, like the act-driven ...

Applications of Decision and Utility Theory in Multi-Agent Systems

This report reviews the applications of decision-related theories (decision theory, utility theory, probability theory, and game theory) in various aspects of multi-agent systems. In recent years, multi-agent systems (MASs) have become a highly active research area as multi-agent systems have a wide range of applications. However, most of real-world environments are very complex and of uncertai...

Conceptual Reasoning in Multi-agent Environments|partiality, Intensionality, Inconsistency and Preference Conceptual Reasoning in Multi-agent Environments

In this paper a knowledge representation language is related to a framework of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA). A logical formalism has FCA contexts on its semantic side, and formal conceptual systems as proof theories. Agents are associated with (sets of) consistent sources of information, and every source gives rise to a single theory. A family of theories is formed and it is used to build a co...

Semiotics, multi-agent systems and organizations

Multi-agent systems are promising as models of organization because they are based on the idea that most work in human organizations is done based on intelligence, communication, cooperation, and massive parallel processing. They offer an alternative for system theories of organization, which are rather abstract of nature and do not pay attention to the agent level. In contrast, classical organ...

Effect of chelating agent on Hydroxyapatite morphology under hydrothermal process

Citrate was used as chelating or morphology regulating agent in this study. In the presence of regulating agent a two-dimensional monetite phase evolved into  three-dimentional hydroxyapatite microspheres with an average diameter of 4 µm. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) studies revealed the importance of Ca/citrate ratio in regulating the particle m...
